This blog post is a first in the series of posts about RentPay. RentPay is a credit card rent payment service initiated by RedGirraffe. Currently, we have tied up with over 40 banks for the service.
Through the RentPay series on the blog, we shall walk you through the various aspects of the service. To begin with, each tenant has to submit a registration form to use the service. This one-time registration ensures that the rent is deposited without any hassle to either the tenant or the landlord. Registration is an easy 5 step process, here’s where you start:
Step 1: Log on to www.redgirraffe.com and click RentPay
Step 2: Fill in the Tenant’s details on the form
Step 3: Upload the rent agreement (most recent and valid as a PDF)
Step 4: Fill in the Landlord’s details
Step 5: Ensure all details and format in which details are entered are correct.Submit the form. If everything is in order, the RG property ID shall be displayed once the form is successfully submitted.
Once registered, the RG property ID will be emailed to you. The email shall also specify how to add RedGirraffe as a biller with your card issuing bank.
Adding RedGirraffe as a biller* is also a one time process, once done you may schedule monthly payments or pay manually selecting the biller as RedGirraffe.
*RedGirraffe shall appear in the ‘Utility’ section of the ‘Bill Payment’ section in most bank portals.
